01Network and SIM
It is unlocked for EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, giffgaff and other UK networks, with 5G, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 listed by GSMArena. It takes a nano-SIM and an eSIM. The model code depends on the unit supplied; message us to confirm before you order.
02Display
The flat 6.6-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen runs at up to 120Hz and reaches 1,750 nits peak, brighter than the smaller S22's 1,300 nits. It suits video and split-screen apps without the S22 Ultra's curved glass.
03Performance and storage
UK models use the Exynos 2200 with 8GB of RAM, in 128GB or 256GB. It is smooth day to day but warms up in long gaming sessions, one reason the S23+ switched to Snapdragon. There is no microSD slot.
04Cameras
It shares the S22's cameras: a 50MP main, a 12MP ultra wide and a 10MP 3x optical telephoto, with a 10MP front camera. For 10x zoom you need the S22 Ultra.
05Battery and charging
Its 4,500mAh battery (when new) is 800mAh larger than the S22's, and it supports 45W wired charging with a compatible Samsung charger, which is not included. Wireless charging is 15W. Every grade leaves us with at least 85% battery health.
06Software updates
Android 16 (One UI 8) was the final major upgrade for the S22 series. Samsung moved these phones to quarterly security patches in February 2026 and still listed them on 30 Sep 2026. Security updates depend on the manufacturer's policy; check the latest status before you buy.

It is good value for about a year of use, with a big screen, strong battery and 45W charging from £240. The catch is timing: Samsung security updates are expected to stop around February 2027, sooner than any S23.
Who it's for
