Features
Every detail, verified.
01Connectivity and compatibility
On an iPhone, iPad or Mac they set up in one tap and switch automatically between devices on your Apple Account. Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, Personalised Spatial Audio with head tracking and Find My with the case speaker all need Apple devices. With Android or Windows they pair as ordinary Bluetooth earbuds; you can still use noise cancellation via the stem controls, but not the Apple-only features, and firmware updates come through Apple devices.
02Noise cancellation without ear tips
Most noise-cancelling earbuds rely on a silicone tip to seal the ear. AirPods 4 with ANC use the same open shape as standard AirPods 4, so they feel lighter in the ear, but the lack of a seal means Apple rates their cancellation below AirPods Pro. Apple says AirPods Pro 2 offers up to twice the noise cancellation of this model.
03Battery and charging
Apple rates up to 4 hours of listening with ANC on (5 hours off) and up to 20 hours with the case and ANC on. That's shorter than AirPods Pro, and a pre-owned battery will usually give less than the new rating, as earbud batteries age with use. Our 12-month warranty covers faults. Unlike the standard AirPods 4, this case charges wirelessly and has a speaker to help you find it.
Condition
What Pristine Condition means here
Pristine Condition is how we label pre-owned stock in our best cosmetic condition. These AirPods have been used before, so they aren't sealed or new. Pristine Condition means pre-owned and fully working, with little or no visible wear. There are no ear tips to wear out. Earbud batteries age with use, and our 12-month warranty from The Tech Gadgets covers faults.
Compare
How it compares
AirPods 4 with ANC and Galaxy Buds3 take the same approach: open fit with noise cancellation. Samsung rates Buds3 at up to 5 hours with ANC on and IP57; Apple rates AirPods 4 with ANC at 4 hours and IP54. The right choice mostly depends on your phone. See AirPods vs Galaxy Buds.
Our view
Is it worth buying pre-owned in 2026?
Yes, if ear tips make you uncomfortable but you still want some noise cancellation on the bus or in an open-plan office. It's still a current Apple model with the H2 chip. The trade-offs are the shortest battery rating of the AirPods range and weaker isolation than a sealed design.
Who it's for
iPhone users who dislike in-ear tips. For stronger cancellation and longer battery, choose AirPods Pro 2. If you don't need ANC, AirPods 4 gives 5 hours per charge. On a Galaxy phone, Galaxy Buds3 is Samsung's open-fit ANC equivalent.

Chat on WhatsApp
Are these AirPods 4 new?
No. They're pre-owned, sold in Pristine Condition after testing and cleaning. They're not sealed and not refurbished by Apple.
How is this different from standard AirPods 4?
This version adds Active Noise Cancellation, Adaptive Audio, Transparency, a wirelessly charging case and a case speaker for Find My. Battery is rated slightly lower with ANC on.
Do they have ear tips?
No. AirPods 4 have an open fit, so there are no tips to wear out or replace.
How long does the battery last?
Apple rates up to 4 hours with ANC on when new. Earbud batteries age with use, so a used pair will usually give less. Our 12-month warranty from The Tech Gadgets covers faults.
Do they work with Android?
Yes, for Bluetooth audio and noise cancellation via the controls. Adaptive Audio, Spatial Audio head tracking, automatic switching and Find My need Apple devices.
Is a cable included?
Apple doesn't supply a cable with new AirPods 4, so please don't expect one. Message us before ordering if you need to confirm what's in the box. Any USB-C cable or Qi charger works with this case.
