01Network and SIM
Unlocked for any UK network, with 5G. It uses nano-SIM cards; eSIM support isn't confirmed for our units, so please don't rely on it.
02Display
Nothing's launch specifications give a 6.7-inch AMOLED at 1080 x 2412 with up to 120Hz, under Gorilla Glass 5. It's the same size as the Phone (2), with a flat panel and even bezels.
03Performance and storage
The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro was made for the Phone (2a), according to GSMArena, and handles everyday apps, social media and casual games well. Nothing sold it with 128GB or 256GB; there is no 512GB version.
04Cameras
GSMArena lists a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide, plus a 32MP front camera. Two matching 50MP sensors keep colours consistent when switching lenses; there's no telephoto.
05Battery and charging
The Phone (2a) has a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging and no wireless charging. It's larger than the Phone (2)'s 4,700mAh. Our minimum battery health at dispatch is at least 85% on every grade (Like New, Excellent and Very Good).
06Software updates
Nothing promised three Android upgrades and four years of security patches from its March 2024 launch, and it's eligible for Android 17-based Nothing OS 5.0. Security updates depend on the manufacturer's policy; check the latest status before you buy. IP54 splash resistance applied when new.

Is a refurbished Nothing Phone (2a) worth buying in 2026?
Yes, if you want Nothing's design and a big 120Hz screen for the least money. It gets Android 17, and security patches run to about 2028. The trade-offs are a mid-range chip, no wireless charging and no zoom lens; the Phone (3a) fixes the last point.
Who it's for
First-time Nothing buyers, students and anyone who wants a distinctive phone on a budget. If you'll keep it beyond 2028, the Phone (3a) has support to 2031. For wireless charging, see the Phone (2).
