01Network and SIM
The iPhone 13 Pro Max works on EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, giffgaff and other UK networks, with 5G where available. Apple specifies a nano-SIM plus eSIM, or two eSIMs, with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. As an iPhone 13 Pro Max unlocked for the UK, it takes any SIM-only deal.
02Display
Apple specifies a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED at 2778 x 1284 pixels with ProMotion up to 120Hz, 1,000 nits typical and 1,200 nits HDR. It has a notch rather than the Dynamic Island.
03Performance and storage
Apple fits the A15 Bionic with a 5-core GPU, as in the iPhone 13 Pro. Storage runs from 128GB to 1TB with no card slot; 512GB or 1TB suits anyone recording ProRes video, which Apple supports up to 4K at 30 fps.
04Cameras
Apple lists three 12MP cameras: Main at ƒ/1.5 with sensor-shift stabilisation, Ultra Wide at ƒ/1.8 and 3x Telephoto at ƒ/2.8, for a 6x optical zoom range, plus macro, LiDAR and ProRAW.
05Battery and charging
Apple rates it at up to 28 hours of video and 95 hours of audio when new, only an hour less video than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Every grade has at least 85% battery health at dispatch. It charges over Lightning with MagSafe up to 15W.
06Software updates
Apple lists the iPhone 13 Pro Max for iOS 27, current on 30 Sep 2026. It was first sold in September 2021. Future security updates depend on Apple's policy; check the latest status before you buy. It doesn't support Apple Intelligence.
