01What's in the box
The console and dock. Please message us before ordering to confirm whether the Joy-Con, HDMI cable, AC adapter, Joy-Con grip and straps, and original box are included. Nintendo supplies all of these with a new OLED Model. Without the Joy-Con you can't play handheld. No games or Nintendo Switch Online membership are included.
02Account set-up
You link the console to your own Nintendo Account. The previous owner's digital games aren't included. If you have any questions about account set-up, message us before ordering.
03Screen, play modes and battery
Nintendo specifies a 7-inch OLED screen at 1280 x 720, a wide adjustable stand for tabletop play, and enhanced speakers. Docked, it outputs up to 1080p at 60fps, and the dock's wired LAN port gives a steadier online connection. Nintendo rates the battery at about 4.5 to 9 hours depending on the game. Battery capacity falls with use, and we don't yet grade it on consoles.
Condition
What "Pristine Condition" means
This Switch OLED is pre-owned: it has been used and isn't new or sealed. We test and clean it before listing. Pristine Condition means pre-owned and fully working, with little or no visible wear. We promise no cosmetic finish beyond that definition, and the photo is a product image, not your console.

Original Switch: the OLED Model has a larger 7-inch OLED screen, a wider stand and a LAN port on the dock. Switch 2: newer and more powerful, and Nintendo says it plays most Switch games; we don't currently stock it. Our view
Is it worth buying a pre-owned Switch OLED in 2026?
Nintendo released the Switch 2 in June 2025, so the OLED Model is now the previous generation. It still runs the whole Switch library and suits children, families and handheld players who don't need Switch 2 games. The trade-offs: it's used, games made only for Switch 2 won't run on it, and the warranty comes from us rather than Nintendo.

Is this Switch OLED new?
No. It's pre-owned, sold in Pristine Condition: used, then tested and cleaned. It isn't sealed.
Are the Joy-Con controllers included?
Please message us before ordering to confirm. The console can't be played handheld without them.
How long will the battery last?
Nintendo rates it at about 4.5 to 9 hours when new. As a pre-owned console the battery may hold less; we don't yet grade console batteries.
Will Switch 2 games work on it?
No. Games made only for Switch 2 need a Switch 2. All standard Switch games work.
Who provides the warranty?
We do: 12 months from The Tech Gadgets, plus the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if it's faulty.
