This is a refurbished Samsung Galaxy S20, unlocked for every UK network, with 128GB of storage from £180 in Like New, Excellent or Very Good grades. Samsung sold 4G and 5G versions and ended its security updates in 2025. It includes a 12-month warranty from The Tech Gadgets and same-day dispatch on weekday orders by 3pm.

01Network and SIM
It works on EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, giffgaff and other UK networks. Samsung UK sold two versions: the Samsung Galaxy S20 4G (SM-G980F) and the S20 5G (SM-G981B), per Mighty Gadget and GSMArena. Which one you get depends on the model supplied, so message us to confirm before you order if you need 5G.
02Display
Samsung specifies a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen at 3200 x 1440, up to 120Hz. GSMArena notes 120Hz runs at FHD+, not QHD+. At 163g it is the lightest S20 we sell.
03Performance and storage
UK models use the Exynos 990, with 8GB of RAM on the 4G version and 12GB on the 5G version (GSMArena). Storage is 128GB plus a microSD slot. There is no headphone jack.
04Cameras
Samsung lists a 12MP main camera, a 12MP ultra wide and a 64MP telephoto with 3x hybrid zoom, plus a 10MP front camera. Video records up to 8K at 24fps.
05Battery and charging
Samsung rated the battery at 4,000mAh when new, the smallest in the S20 range, with 25W wired, 15W wireless and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. Every grade has at least 85% battery health at dispatch.
06Software updates
The S20 launched on Android 10 and finished on Android 13. Samsung ended S20 security updates in April 2025 after the March 2025 patch (9to5Google), and it is not on Samsung's security update list (checked 30 Sep 2026). New security holes stay open.

Like New: no visible marks on the screen or body. Excellent: light signs of use, hard to spot at arm's length. Very Good: visible marks on the body; the screen is in good shape. Is a refurbished Samsung Galaxy S20 worth buying in 2026?
Yes, if you want a compact 120Hz Samsung with a zoom camera for £180 and can accept no security updates. It suits budget buyers, a backup phone or a child's first phone for calls, messages and Wi-Fi apps. The trade-offs: no patches since March 2025, a 4,000mAh battery and a 2020 chip. For banking or work email, pick a supported model.
Who it's for
Choose it if you want a cheap Samsung S20 refurbished with a real telephoto; a used Samsung S20 or second hand Samsung Galaxy S20 from us comes graded, with a warranty. For updates, the Galaxy S22 (from £210) is on Samsung's quarterly list, and the Galaxy A16 5G (from £140) has a six-year promise.

Is the Galaxy S20 unlocked?
Yes, it is unlocked for every UK network, including EE, O2, Vodafone, Three and giffgaff. Insert your nano-SIM and set it up with your own Google account.
Is the refurbished Galaxy S20 4G or 5G?
It depends on the model, because Samsung sold both a 4G S20 (SM-G980F) and a 5G S20 (SM-G981B) in the UK. If you need 5G, ask us before you order and we will check the unit's model number.
Does Samsung still update the Galaxy S20?
No, Samsung ended S20 security updates in April 2025, and the March 2025 patch was the last. The phone works as normal, but vulnerabilities found since then stay open.
Is a Galaxy S20 a good first phone for a child?
It can be, for calls, messages and simple apps on a phone a parent sets up. Because it gets no more security fixes, keep sensitive accounts off it or choose the Galaxy A16 5G instead.
What battery health will I get?
At least 85% on every grade, checked before dispatch. You can see the figure in Settings › Battery › Battery Health.
