01Connectivity and compatibility
They're designed for Apple devices: one-tap setup, automatic switching across your iPhone, iPad and Mac, Siri, and Personalised Spatial Audio with head tracking. On Android and Windows they connect as normal Bluetooth earbuds for music and calls, without those features, and firmware updates come through an Apple device.

Apple lists Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking, Adaptive EQ and Voice Isolation, which reduces background noise on your side of a call. There's no active noise cancellation, so the open fit lets in the sound around you. That suits people who want to stay aware of traffic or colleagues, but not flights or loud commutes.
03Battery and charging
Apple rates up to 5 hours per charge and up to 30 hours with the case. Those are new-unit figures; a used battery will usually give less; our 12-month warranty covers faults. The case charges by USB-C cable only. If you want to drop it on a wireless pad, the ANC version's case supports that.

Is it worth buying pre-owned in 2026?
For iPhone users who want a simple pair for calls, podcasts and music, yes. It's a current model with USB-C and IP54 sweat resistance, which the older AirPods 2 lacks. If background noise bothers you, the ANC version is the better buy.
Who it's for
