01Network and SIM
It is unlocked for EE, O2, Vodafone, Three and every other UK network, with 5G where available, and takes a nano-SIM and an eSIM. The model code depends on the unit supplied; message us to confirm before you order.
02Display
Samsung specifies a 6.8-inch QHD+ Edge Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen that varies from 1Hz to 120Hz, with up to 1,750 nits. The sides curve slightly, which suits S Pen writing; the S24 Ultra switched to flat glass.
03Performance and storage
Every S23 Ultra uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. In the UK, 256GB has 8GB of RAM and 512GB or 1TB have 12GB. There is no microSD slot.
04Cameras
Samsung lists a 200MP wide, 12MP ultra wide and two 10MP telephotos at 3x and 10x optical zoom, plus a 12MP selfie camera. The 10x lens is the main reason to choose it.
05Battery and charging
Samsung rates it at 5,000mAh when new, with 45W wired charging (charger not included) and wireless charging. Every grade leaves us with at least 85% battery health.
06Software updates
Samsung committed to four Android upgrades and five years of security updates for the S23 series. The Ultra went on sale in the UK on 17 February 2023, so security support should run to around February 2028.

Is a refurbished Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra worth buying in 2026?
Yes, if you want an S Pen and 10x optical zoom for far less than a newer Ultra, with around two and a half years of security updates left. The trade-offs are 234g of weight, curved edges and shorter support than an S24 Ultra.
Who it's for
