01Network and SIM
It is unlocked for EE, O2, Vodafone, Three and all other UK networks, with 5G where available. GSMArena lists nano-SIM and eSIM support for the European model (SM-G996B); SIM support depends on the model supplied, so message us to confirm before you order if you need eSIM.
02Display
The flat 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen runs at up to 120Hz. Unlike the S21, the S21+ has Gorilla Glass Victus on both sides and an aluminium frame; GSMArena lists it at 200g.
03Performance and storage
UK models use the Exynos 2100 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. It copes well with social, streaming and navigation; for heavy gaming a newer chip is noticeably quicker. There is no microSD slot.
04Cameras
The cameras match the S21: a 12MP main, a 12MP ultra wide and a 64MP telephoto for 3x hybrid zoom, plus a 10MP front camera. It records up to 8K at 24fps. For 10x optical zoom you would need the S21 Ultra.
05Battery and charging
Its 4,800mAh battery (when new) is the main reason to choose it over the S21, which has 4,000mAh. Charging is 25W wired and 15W wireless. The minimum battery health for each grade is listed in Key facts.
06Software updates
Samsung has stopped updating the S21+. Its last major upgrade was Android 15 (One UI 7), the last security patch was reported in November 2025, and it did not appear on Samsung's security update list on 30 Sep 2026.

Is a refurbished Samsung Galaxy S21+ worth buying in 2026?
It is a big-screen phone for light use at a low price, but it no longer gets Samsung security updates. If you bank or pay by phone, the Galaxy S22+ costs £30 more and is still supported until around February 2027.
Who it's for

Is the Galaxy S21+ unlocked?
Yes. Every Galaxy S21+ 128GB and 256GB unit we sell works on any UK network. It supports 5G, a nano-SIM and an eSIM.
Does the Galaxy S21+ still get security updates?
No. Samsung has ended updates for the S21+; its final upgrade was Android 15 (One UI 7). It still works normally without new patches.
Is a refurbished Galaxy S21+ worth it in 2026?
Only for light use or as a spare. A refurbished Galaxy S21 Plus is cheap, but the S22+ costs a little more and still gets security updates.
Galaxy S21+ vs S22+: which should I buy?
Buy the S22+ if you use banking apps. It adds 45W charging, a 50MP camera and security updates until around February 2027.
