01Network and SIM
It's an unlocked iPhone 15 Plus, so it works on EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, giffgaff and other UK providers. Apple specifies 5G, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, with a nano-SIM plus eSIM, or two eSIMs.
02Display
Apple specifies a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED at 2796 x 1290 pixels, up to 2,000 nits outdoors, with the Dynamic Island. Apple doesn't list ProMotion or Always-On for this model.
03Performance and storage
Apple lists the A16 Bionic with a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU. It's quick for everyday apps and games, but it can't run Apple Intelligence. A used iPhone 15 Plus 128GB suits iCloud users; the iPhone 15 Plus 256GB is safer for 4K video, as storage can't be expanded.
04Cameras
Apple specifies a 48MP Main camera (ƒ/1.6) with a 12MP 2x Telephoto option, and a 12MP Ultra Wide (ƒ/2.4). The front camera is 12MP (ƒ/1.9).
05Battery and charging
Apple rates it at up to 26 hours of video playback when new, against 20 hours for the iPhone 15. Every grade leaves us with at least 85% battery health. It charges over USB-C and supports MagSafe up to 15W.
06Software updates
It runs iOS 27, released on 14 September 2026. Apple's UK PSTI statement commits to at least five years of security updates from first supply; this model first went on sale on 22 September 2023, so expect security updates until at least September 2028.

Is a refurbished iPhone 15 Plus worth buying in 2026?
Yes, if you want a big screen and long battery life and don't need Apple Intelligence. The A16 Bionic is still quick, the 48MP camera is detailed, and security support should run to at least 2028. The trade-offs are no Apple Intelligence, no ProMotion, USB 2 speeds and a used battery.
Who it's for
Choose it for all-day reading, streaming and maps on the largest non-Pro iPhone 15 screen. A second hand iPhone 15 Plus from a private seller won't be graded or under warranty. Prefer smaller? The iPhone 15 has the same chip and cameras at 6.1 inches.

Is the iPhone 15 Plus unlocked?
Yes, it's unlocked for all UK networks. It works with EE, O2, Vodafone, Three and their SIM-only brands, using a nano-SIM or an eSIM.
What battery health will I get?
At least 85% on every grade, checked before dispatch. You can see the figure in Settings › Battery › Battery Health.
What's in the box?

iPhone 15 Plus vs 15 Pro Max: which should I buy refurbished?
Buy the 15 Plus for a big screen and long battery life at a lower price. Buy the 15 Pro Max if you want 120Hz, a 5x zoom and Apple Intelligence; both have 6.7-inch screens.
Does the iPhone 15 Plus support Apple Intelligence?
No. Apple lists Apple Intelligence for the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max and every iPhone 16 model, but not the iPhone 15 or 15 Plus. The rest of iOS 27 works as normal.
How long will the iPhone 15 Plus get updates?
Apple commits to at least five years of security updates from first supply, which points to at least September 2028. It already runs iOS 27, released in September 2026.
Is it new, and could it be locked to someone else's Apple ID?
No to both. It's a pre-owned phone, and it's signed out of the previous owner's Apple ID with Activation Lock off, so you set it up with your own.
