Microsoft lists a Share button for screenshots and clips, a hybrid D-pad, textured grips on the triggers, bumpers and back, and button mapping through the Xbox Accessories app. It pairs with a console over Xbox Wireless, and with phones, tablets and PCs over Bluetooth. For wired play, use a USB-C cable.
02Batteries
The controller takes two AA batteries, which Microsoft rates at up to 40 hours. It has no built-in rechargeable battery, so there's no battery wear to worry about on a pre-owned pad. Rechargeable AA cells or Microsoft's Play and Charge Kit (sold separately) work too.
Condition
What "Pristine Condition" means
This controller has been used before, so it's pre-owned rather than new. We test and clean it before listing. Pristine Condition means pre-owned and fully working, with little or no visible wear. The photo is a product image, not your controller.

Is a pre-owned Xbox controller worth it?
For a second player or a replacement, yes: it's the same controller Microsoft ships with every Series X and S, and at £50 it costs less than new. The trade-off is normal use: stick and button feel may differ slightly from a new pad, within our Pristine definition. If you play on PlayStation, choose our DualSense controller instead. Pair it with our Xbox Series X or Series S.
