01About international stock
This phone was made for sale in the UAE or Europe rather than supplied by Samsung UK. It runs the same Android and One UI software and works in the UK. A few things can differ from UK stock: the model code (shown on the box and in Settings › About), box printing in another language, and the fact that Samsung UK may not carry out manufacturer warranty repairs on non-UK units. That's why every phone comes with our own 12-month warranty, and you deal with us directly if anything goes wrong.
02Network and SIM
It's unlocked, so it works with any UK network, including EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, giffgaff, Tesco Mobile, Sky Mobile, Lebara and iD Mobile. 5G works where your network, plan and location support it.
03Display
Samsung fits a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. It's big enough for films and split-screen apps, and smooth when you scroll.
04Performance and storage
The Exynos 1680 chip and 8GB of RAM handles everyday apps, streaming, social media and games comfortably, and it's the most powerful processor in Samsung's A series this year.
05Cameras
On the back you get a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, a 12MP ultra wide and a 5MP macro. Samsung's Awesome Intelligence tools include Object Eraser, Best Face and Edit Suggestions, and Circle to Search is built in.

The 5,000mAh battery is rated by Samsung for up to two days of typical use.

Condition
What "Open Box (Activated)" means
This phone comes in its original Samsung box. It has been taken out of the box, switched on, set up and activated, so it isn't sealed and we don't sell it as brand new. Before dispatch we factory reset it, remove every Google and Samsung account, test the screen, cameras, speakers, charging and connectivity, and pack it back in its box. It arrives ready for you to set up with your own accounts, and cosmetically it's in as-new condition.

How it compares
Compared with the Galaxy A37, the A57 steps up to the faster Exynos 1680 chip, adds IP68 protection and is noticeably lighter. Compared with last year's Galaxy A56, it's slimmer and lighter, with better water resistance and newer AI features, while the everyday experience is similar.

Who it's for
Choose the A57 if you want the best of Samsung's A series: a large, bright screen, IP68 protection, a capable triple camera and years of software updates, without paying flagship prices. If you want a telephoto zoom lens or the fastest chip available, look at our refurbished Galaxy S phones instead.

Is this phone brand new?
It's open box stock. The phone has been set up and activated once, then factory reset and checked, so it isn't sealed. That's why we sell it as Open Box (Activated) rather than brand new.
Will it be locked to someone else's account?
No. We remove all Google and Samsung accounts and factory reset every phone before dispatch, so you set it up with your own.
Will it work on my network?
Yes. It's unlocked and works on EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, giffgaff and every other UK network. 5G works where your network and plan support it.
What's in the box?

Who provides the warranty?
We do. Every phone comes with a 12-month warranty from The Tech Gadgets, and you contact us directly if anything goes wrong. Because it's international stock, Samsung UK may not repair it under manufacturer warranty.
When will it arrive?
Orders placed by 3pm UK time Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day from Manchester. After 3pm Monday to Thursday they go out the next working day, and after 3pm on Friday or at the weekend on Monday (UK bank holidays excluded). Standard delivery takes 1–3 working days and is free on orders of £50 or more, otherwise £4.99; Special Delivery (next working day) is £9.99.
