01Network and SIM
The S20 FE unlocked here works on all UK networks. Tech Advisor reports two UK versions: a 4G model with the Exynos 990 (SM-G780F) and the Galaxy S20 FE 5G with the Snapdragon 865 (SM-G781B). GSMArena lists a nano-SIM and no eSIM. Whether you get the 4G or 5G version depends on the model supplied, so message us to confirm before you order.
02Display
Samsung specifies a flat 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen at 2400 x 1080 and 120Hz. Being FHD+, it always runs 120Hz. The back is plastic, and GSMArena lists 190g.
03Performance and storage
The 5G model uses the Snapdragon 865 and the UK 4G model the Exynos 990. Tech Advisor reports the UK launch model as 128GB with 6GB of RAM; 256GB with 8GB was sold in other markets, so RAM depends on the model supplied; message us to confirm before you order. Both take microSD.
04Cameras
There are three rear cameras: 12MP main, 12MP ultra wide and an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. The front camera is 32MP. Video tops out at 4K at 60fps.
05Battery and charging
Samsung rated the battery at 4,500mAh when new, with 25W wired, 15W wireless and 4.5W reverse charging. Every grade leaves us with at least 85% battery health at dispatch.
06Software updates
It launched on Android 10 and finished on Android 13. It outlasted the other S20 models: 9to5Google reports the October 2025 patch as its last, and it is not on Samsung's security update list checked on 30 Sep 2026.

Is a refurbished Samsung Galaxy S20 FE worth buying in 2026?
For a budget buyer, yes: at £160 it is the cheapest way into the S20 range, with a 120Hz screen, 3x optical zoom and the latest final patch in the family. It suits a teenager, a backup handset or light use. The trade-offs are no future updates, a plastic back and the 4G/5G split.
Who it's for
It suits buyers who want a big, smooth screen for as little as possible. A cheap Samsung S20 FE or second hand Galaxy S20 FE from us comes graded with a 12-month warranty. For patches, the Galaxy S21 FE (from £180) is on Samsung's quarterly list; the Galaxy A16 5G (from £140) has a six-year promise.

Is the S20 FE unlocked?
Yes, it is unlocked for every UK network. It takes one nano-SIM, and GSMArena lists no eSIM support.
Is this the Galaxy S20 FE 5G or 4G?
It depends on the model supplied: both the 5G SM-G781B and the 4G SM-G780F exist. Message us to confirm before you order if you need 5G, and we will check the model number.
When did the S20 FE stop getting updates?
Its final security update was the October 2025 patch, and Android 13 was its last major version. That is later than the S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra, which stopped in March 2025.
Is the S20 FE good for a teenager?
It is a sensible budget choice for calls, social apps and video on a large 120Hz screen. Without security updates, avoid storing banking or sensitive accounts on it.
What battery health will I get?
