01Network and SIM
Unlocked for every UK network, with 5G. OnePlus UK lists a dual nano-SIM tray and states that eSIM is not supported, so you'll need a physical SIM. If you use an eSIM-only plan, choose the OnePlus 12 instead.
02Display
OnePlus specifies a 6.78-inch AMOLED at 2780 x 1264 (450ppi) with a dynamic refresh rate up to 120Hz. GSMArena lists LTPO4 and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It's slightly smaller and lower resolution than the OnePlus 12's QHD+ panel, but just as smooth.
03Performance and storage
OnePlus lists the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with an Adreno 740 GPU, the flagship chip of 2023, so everyday apps and games run quickly. OnePlus UK sold only the 16GB/256GB model, so RAM on 128GB units depends on the model supplied; message us to confirm before you order.
04Cameras
OnePlus lists a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro, plus a 16MP front camera. There's no telephoto, so zoomed shots are digital crops; that's the biggest gap to the OnePlus 12.
05Battery and charging
OnePlus fits a 5,500mAh dual-cell battery, larger than the OnePlus 12's, with 100W SUPERVOOC wired charging on OnePlus's charger. There's no wireless charging. Our minimum battery health at dispatch is at least 85% on every grade (Like New, Excellent and Very Good).
06Software updates
OnePlus UK promises at least three generations of Android upgrades and four years of security updates; check the latest status before you buy. GSMArena lists IP64 splash resistance when new.

Is a refurbished OnePlus 12R worth buying in 2026?
Yes, if battery life and speed matter more than zoom. OnePlus lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and a 5,500mAh battery, for £90 less than our OnePlus 12. The trade-offs are no eSIM, no wireless charging, no telephoto and a shorter update window, into 2028.
Who it's for
