It's unlocked for every UK network, including EE, O2, Vodafone and Three. Apple specifies 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3, with a nano-SIM plus eSIM, or two eSIMs.

Apple specifies a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED at 2868 x 1320 pixels with ProMotion up to 120Hz and up to 2,000 nits outdoors.
03Performance and storage
Apple lists the A18 Pro with a 6-core CPU and 6-core GPU. USB-C runs at USB 3 speeds, up to 10Gb/s. The iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB suits most buyers; 512GB or 1TB suits heavy 4K filming. Apple never made a 2TB version.
04Cameras
Apple specifies a 48MP Fusion (ƒ/1.78), a 48MP Ultra Wide (ƒ/2.2) and a 12MP 5x Telephoto (ƒ/2.8), with 5x optical zoom in and 2x out. The system is identical to the iPhone 16 Pro's.
05Battery and charging
Apple rates it at up to 33 hours of video playback when new, the longest of any iPhone 16 model. Every grade leaves us with at least 85% battery health. MagSafe charges at up to 25W with a 30W adapter or higher.
06Software updates
It runs iOS 27, released on 14 September 2026. Apple's UK PSTI statement commits to at least five years of security updates from first supply; this model first went on sale on 20 September 2024, so expect security updates until at least September 2029.
