As an unlocked iPhone 16 Plus, it takes any UK SIM: EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, giffgaff, Lebara and more. Apple specifies 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3, with a nano-SIM plus eSIM, or two eSIMs.
02Display
Apple specifies a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED at 2796 x 1290 pixels, 1,000 nits typical and up to 2,000 nits outdoors. Apple doesn't list ProMotion, so it doesn't reach 120Hz.
03Performance and storage
Apple lists the same A18 as the iPhone 16, with a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine for Apple Intelligence. Storage is 128GB, 256GB or 512GB and can't be expanded; our iPhone 16 Plus 128GB guide covers whether the base size is enough.

Apple specifies a 48MP Fusion Main camera (ƒ/1.6) with a 12MP 2x Telephoto option and a 12MP Ultra Wide (ƒ/2.2). Camera Control adjusts zoom and exposure without touching the screen.

Is a refurbished iPhone 16 Plus worth buying in 2026?
Yes, if screen size and battery life matter more than zoom. It has the A18, Apple Intelligence and Camera Control, and runs iOS 27. The trade-offs are no 120Hz, no dedicated telephoto lens and a heavier 199g body.
Who it's for
Choose it for long days away from a charger: commuting, streaming, navigation or shift work. A second hand iPhone 16 Plus from a private seller won't be graded or under warranty. For a lighter phone, the iPhone 16 weighs 170g.
