01Connectivity and compatibility
AirPods Pro 3 are built around the iPhone. Heart rate tracking feeds the Fitness app, Live Translation needs an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone on iOS 26 or later, and Apple's Hearing Test, Hearing Aid and Hearing Protection features, automatic device switching and Precision Finding all need Apple devices. Paired with an Android phone or a Windows laptop they play audio and cancel noise over Bluetooth 5.3, but none of those extras are available and firmware updates come through Apple devices.
02Sound, fit and noise cancellation
Apple redesigned the tips for this generation: a thin layer of foam over the silicone, angled inward for a more secure fit, with a new XXS size. Apple says this and the new foam-infused microspheres improve noise cancellation over AirPods Pro 2. Adaptive Audio, Transparency and Conversation Awareness carry over.
03Battery and water resistance
Apple rates up to 8 hours per charge with ANC on, or 6.5 hours when heart rate sensing is running, and up to 24 hours using the case. These ratings are for new units; a pre-owned battery will have some wear. Our 12-month warranty covers faults. IP57 means Apple rates them for heavy sweat and rain, which suits running and gym use better than the IP54 of earlier AirPods.

Compared with AirPods Pro 2, Apple lists longer single-charge battery (8 hours against 6), IP57 against IP54, heart rate sensing and five tip sizes against four; total battery with the case is lower (24 hours against 30). Our view
Is it worth buying pre-owned in 2026?
If you want the current Apple earbuds and train with them, a pre-owned pair is a sensible way to lower the cost. As they're recent, battery wear should be limited, though we don't promise a figure. If you don't need heart rate sensing or the extra water resistance, AirPods Pro 2 covers most of the same features.
Who it's for
Choose these if you use an iPhone, exercise with earbuds in and want the longest battery rating of any AirPods Pro. Choose AirPods Pro 2 if you want to spend less, or Galaxy Buds3 Pro if your phone is a Samsung Galaxy.

Are these AirPods Pro 3 new or used?
Used. They're pre-owned, sold in Pristine Condition after testing and cleaning. They're not sealed and not refurbished by Apple.
Does heart rate tracking work with Android?
No. Heart rate sensing works with the Fitness app on a compatible iPhone. On Android they work as Bluetooth ANC earbuds only.
How much battery life will I get?
Apple rates up to 8 hours with ANC on when new. Earbud batteries age with use, so a pre-owned pair will usually give somewhat less. Our 12-month warranty from The Tech Gadgets covers faults.
Is a charging cable included?
Apple doesn't include a USB-C cable with new AirPods Pro 3, so please don't expect one. Message us before ordering if you need to confirm what's in the box. Any USB-C cable, MagSafe or Qi charger will work.
